How to Change Your Domain Name in the Site Builder

Step 1: Access Your HostAfrica Account
1. Navigate to the HostAfrica website and log in to your account.
2. Locate and click on the "Site Builder" option.

Step 2: Access Domain Management
1. Within your account dashboard, find the "Manage" button related to your website's site builder platform
2. Click on the "Manage" button to proceed.

Step 3: Go to Domain Setup
1. On the subsequent page, click on the "Manage Domains" option.

Step 4: Add Your Domain Name
1. In the provided field, enter your desired domain name that you wish to associate with your website.
2. Click the "+" icon to add the domain name you entered.

Step 5: The domain name is now added
1. After entering the new domain name, click the + icon to add it to the Basekit Website Builder.

Once added, the domain status will show whether the domain name is Linked or Not Linked.

If the domain shows as Not Linked, please follow the steps in the “How to Link a Domain” section to ensure the domain is correctly connected to your website.

After the domain is successfully linked, please note that it may take some time for the changes to fully propagate across the internet before the website becomes accessible on the new domain.

Additionally, ensure that you have properly configured your domain name servers if you are using custom
DNS settings.
