Let's have a look at how to create additional FTP accounts.

FTP allows you to access your files through a 3rd party program such as FilzeZilla

This tutorial will assume that you are logged into your cPanel.
Once logged into your cPanel, scroll to the section Files, and click on the icon named FTP Accounts.

Scroll Down to View Existing FTP Accounts

You'll see a list of FTP accounts already created — most of these were set up when your hosting account was created.

Scroll Up to the “Add FTP Account” Section

Enter Login Details

In the Login field, type a username for the new FTP account.

Enter a strong password in the next two boxes (to confirm it).

Set the Directory Access

In the Directory field, click the folder icon to auto-fill the path.

Important:

If the field shows something like public_html/example, the account will only access the /example folder.

To give full access to your site files, change it to public_html/.

Set a Quota (Optional)

In the Quota box, enter a limit (in MB) if you want to restrict space.

To allow unlimited space, simply enter Unlimited.

Click the “Create” Button

Your new FTP account will be created.

View Confirmation

A confirmation screen will appear with all the FTP account details.

Click Go Back to return to the main FTP page.

Verify Your New FTP Account

Your newly created FTP account will now be listed on the main page.
