1. Log in to your HOSTAFRICA client account.

2. Navigate to your service from the dashboard and click on it -> then click on active to access the server's control panel

3. You will find "Rescue Mode" button in your Client Area

4. Once you click, you'll be prompted to enter the root password. (Note: This password is used to access the server in Rescue Mode.)

5. Please note: If you are using Rescue Mode for the first time, it will take 3 to 5 minutes to enable.

6. You have successfully enabled the Rescue Mode.

Enter the server in Rescue

SSH to the server on which you have enabled the Rescue Mode.

You will find the predefined Debian-based Rescue server

Now you can perform the operation you want on your server. You can mount your original server and get the data you want.

You can now administer your files and data.

Please note: Admin can't delete or edit the server while in Rescue Mode.

However, Admin does have the privilege to disable the rescue mode from the Client Area

For LXC (Linux Containers), the original VPS disk will be mounted on /mnt
