- Panel Alpha makes it simple to create additional WordPress installations or import existing websites from other hosting providers.
Creating a Fresh WordPress Installation
Step 1: Initiate Instance Creation
- From the My Instances dashboard, click the Add New button (purple button with + icon)

Step 2: Choose Installation Method
Option A: Create New WordPress Instance
The Add New Instance dialogue will appear
You'll see two options:Option A: Create New WordPress Instance
- Quick setup for a brand new WordPress installation
- Perfect for starting a new website from scratch

Option B: Import Existing WordPress Instance
Option A steps: Configure Your New WordPress Site
- Migrate a WordPress site from another hosting provider
Option A steps: Configure Your New WordPress Site
- Click Continue to proceed with your chosen option

- Enter your domain name in the provided field
- Click Set Website Name to confirm your domain
- Alternative:
Click Maybe Later if you want to configure the domain later.

Your new WordPress instance will be created and ready to use!
Option B Steps: Importing an Existing WordPress Site
- If you're moving from another hosting provider, follow these steps:
- Choose Import Existing WordPress Instance from the Add New Instance dialogue
- Click Continue

Enter Your Current Website Details
- In the "Your Current WordPress Instance URL" field, enter the full URL of your existing site
- Important: The URL must start with https://
- Example: https://youroldsite.com
- Click Continue to begin the import process

Once your instance is created:

- Configure DNS Settings - Ensure that your domain is pointed to HostAfrica nameservers
- Access WP Admin - Log in to your WordPress dashboard
- Install SSL Certificate - Check that your site has an SSL certificate
- Set Up Backups - Configure an automatic backup schedule
- Start Building - Add content, themes, and plugins

This is normal for new installations. It means:

(can take up to 48 hours) - Domain isn't pointing to HostAfrica nameservers
- SSL certificate is still being generated

- Your domain is properly registered
- DNS records are correctly configured
- You're using the correct HostAfrica nameservers
- SSL certificate has been issued
