How to Add Your Email to an Android Phone

Step 1: Open Email App

Open the Gmail app or your preferred Email app.

Tap the menu icon (☰) or Settings (⚙️).

Choose “Add account.”

Select “Other” as the account type.

  Step 2: Enter Your Email Address

Type your full email address (e.g. [email protected]).

Tap Next.

Step 3: Choose Account Type

 Step 4: Enter Incoming Server Settings (IMAP) Setting Value

Username:       your full email address

Password:       your email password

IMAP server:    e.g. mail.yourdomain.com

Security type:  SSL/TLS

Port:           993         

Tap Next after entering the details.                                     

Step 5: Enter Outgoing Server Settings (SMTP) Setting Value

Username:       your full email address

Password:       your email password

SMTP server:    e.g. mail.yourdomain.com

Security type:  SSL/TLS

Port:           465

Tap Next to proceed.

  Step 6: Account Options

Set sync frequency as preferred.

Enable “Notify me when email arrives” if you want alerts.

Tap Next.

Step 7: Finish Setup

Give your account a name (optional).

Enter the name to display on sent messages.

Tap Done.
