You can use the Gmail app on Android to manage your email by configuring it with IMAP. Once added, you can adjust how frequently it syncs or disable syncing entirely.
IMAP is recommended because it keeps your messages in sync across all devices.
Steps to Manage Sync for domain's Email in Gmail App

 1. Ensure Your domain's Email Is Already Set Up in Gmail

If not yet added:

  • Open the Gmail app

  • Tap the Menu (☰) > Settings > Add account

  • Choose Other

  • Enter your cPanel email and use the correct IMAP settings

 2. Open Gmail > Tap Menu (☰) > Settings

3. Tap on Your cPanel Email Account

Select the email address you want to modify.

4. Scroll to the Data Usage Section

Make sure "Sync Gmail" is checked for automatic syncing.

 5. Adjust the Fetch Frequency (If Available)

Depending on your Android version and Gmail app, you may see options like:

  • Sync frequency

  • Days of mail to sync

If your Gmail app doesn't allow changing sync intervals directly, you can rely on system-level sync settings

To Stop Syncing Emails Completely

Option 1: Disable Sync for the Gmail App

  • Go to Phone Settings > Accounts > Google

  • Select your Gmail account

  • Uncheck Gmail under sync settings

This stops Gmail from syncing all accounts.

Option 2: Remove or Disable the cPanel Email Account
  • Go to Gmail app > Settings > Tap the account

  • Tap the 3-dot menu (⋮) > Remove account

 Advanced: Control Global Auto-Sync

  • Go to Settings > Battery & device care or Accounts & backup

  • Tap Accounts

  • Tap the 3-dot menu > Auto-sync data

    • Turn ON to allow syncing

    • Turn OFF to disable syncing across all apps

 Helpful IMAP Settings (If Needed):

Your domain email is now configured and set to sync with the Gmail app based on your preferences.
