Keeping the correct server time is crucial for logging, cron jobs, email timestamps, and general system operations. With WHM root access, you can easily view or update your server's time settings.

Note: Only users with root access can change the server time settings in WHM. Reseller accounts do not have access to this section.

Steps to View or Change the Server Time in WHM
1. Log in to WHM as Root
  • Access your WHM interface using your root credentials.

2. Navigate to the Server Time Section
  • In the left-hand sidebar or top search bar, type:

  • Click on Server Time under the Server Configuration section.
3. View the Current Server Time
  • At the top of the page, you’ll see:

    • Current Time: Displays the server’s current system time.

    • This reflects the active time zone the server is using.

4. Change the Time Zone (if needed)
  • Under the Configure Timezone section:

    • Select your preferred Continent/City from the dropdown menu (e.g., Africa/Nairobi, America/New_York, etc.).

  • Click the Change TimeZone button to apply the new setting.

Your server will now operate using the new time zone.
Note on Time Synchronization

Most cPanel/WHM servers use NTP (Network Time Protocol) to keep time accurate. If you're noticing time drift issues, consider checking your NTP settings.
