How to Create a New cPanel Account in WHM

Before creating a cPanel account, make sure you’ve set up at least one hosting package in WHM. You can do this via WHM > Add a Package.

Steps to Create a New cPanel Account
1. Log in to WHM

Access WHM by visiting:

  • Log in with your root or reseller credentials.
2. Open the Account Creation Tool
  • In the WHM dashboard, navigate to

  • Or use the search bar to find Create a New Account, then click it.
3. Fill in Domain Information

Provide the following details:


  • Domain: e.g. example.com

  • Username: This auto-fills based on the domain, but you can customize it.

  • Password: Set a strong password or use the built-in generator.

  • Email: Provide the client's contact email.

  • Choose a Package: Select an existing package from the dropdown.

    If you haven’t created a package yet, go to WHM > Add a Package first.

4. Configure Optional Settings
Settings
  • CGI Access: Enable only if needed (generally optional).

  • cPanel Theme: Choose a theme like jupiter (default).

  • Locale: Select the preferred language for the user’s cPanel.

Reseller Settings
  • Leave "Make the account a reseller" unchecked unless the user should manage other cPanel accounts.

DNS Settings
  • Enable DKIM (Recommended): Provides email authenticity.

  • Enable SPF (Recommended): Helps prevent email spoofing.

5. Finalize and Create the Account
  • Review the settings.

  • Click the Create button at the bottom of the page.

Your new cPanel account will be created, and you’ll see a confirmation screen.
