A Windows Server is a special type of computer that runs a version of the Windows Server operating system — designed by Microsoft to manage networks, users, and services.

Unlike regular Windows (like Windows 10 or 11), a Windows Server is built to:

  • 👥 Manage multiple users and computers

  • 🌐 Host websites and applications

  • 🛡️ Control access, security, and permissions

  • 💾 Share files and resources across a network

  • 💬 Handle email or messaging services

It runs on the Windows NT architecture, which is also used by regular Windows, but it includes extra tools and features made for business and enterprise use.
