A step-by-step guide

- Once you have purchased a Domain Reseller package, you can begin reselling domain names through Blesta, WHMCS, or any other supported billing and automation platform.
- This guide walks you through integrating your Domain Reseller account with Blesta.
- Log in to the HOSTAFRICA Client Panel.
- Navigate to the Domain Reseller area from your HostAfrica Panel.

Part 1: Installation of Registrar Module
- On the new page, click on the Integrations button.

- Here you will find your API Key and API Endpoint, as well as an area to enter your Blesta server IP address in "Allowed IP Addresses".
- This restricts API calls to your Blesta instance only, as an additional security measure.
- Add your IP address(es) to the whitelist and save the changes.

- Scroll down to Available Integrations, where you'll find:
HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module BLESTA
HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module WHMCS

- Click the BLESTA Module to download it.
Before proceeding, ensure you have a working Blesta installation.
- Locate the downloaded HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module BLESTA archive.
- Extract the zipped file.
The archive should contain a directory named "components".
- Upload the extracted files to your Blesta installation root.
The module should be placed under:
/components/modules/hostafricadomainresellermoduleblesta/ - If prompted that the directory already exists, choose Overwrite or Merge
(depending on your file manager/FTP client).
This will not remove any existing modules; it simply adds the new registrar module alongside those already installed. - Once uploaded, log in to your Blesta admin area.
- Navigate to
Packages > Domain Options > Registrars. - Find "HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module BLESTA" and press Install.
- After installation, click Add Account.
- Go back to the HOSTAFRICA Client Panel
Reseller Area window (if closed) to retrieve your
API Email Address, API Key, and API Endpoint. - Fill in the Add Account fields as follows:
API Email (HOSTAFRICA) - User (Blesta Field)
API Key (HOSTAFRICA) - Key (Blesta Field)
API Endpoint (HOSTAFRICA) - Endpoint (Blesta Field) - Click Add Account to save.
- Continue to
Packages > Domain Options > TLD Pricing. - Click Add TLD, enter the TLD you want to resell, and select
HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module BLESTA as the module.
You can check available TLDs for resellers in your HOSTAFRICA Client Panel > Domain Reseller > Pricing. - Click Edit next to the TLD, tick the terms you want to sell, and configure your Registration, Renewal, and Transfer pricing for your customers.
- Enable the TLD (individually or via the bulk option) once pricing is set; TLDs are created disabled by default.
- ✅ The HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Integration is completed.
Part 2: Enabling Access to Previously Owned Domains via Reseller Platform
- Log in to the HOSTAFRICA Client Panel.
- Navigate to Domain Reseller.
- Click on Domains.
- Navigate to Assign Domains.
- In the dialogue box, select all domains you want to access through the reseller platform and press Assign.
- Assigned domains become available through the reseller platform and API.
- This does not automatically create a corresponding service in Blesta:
existing domains must still be linked to a service
if you want them managed through the billing system(see Optional Step below).
Optional Step for Blesta
- If a domain needs to be added to your Blesta manually:
- Create a domain service without performing a registration, transfer, or renewal action.
- Open the created domain service and select the HOSTAFRICA Domain Reseller Module BLESTA account.
- Fill in the domain name.
Note:
An Order Form of type "Domain and Other"
(with the TLD Pricing Packages group selected) is required for the domains to be purchasable by your clients on the client-facing side.
