If you’ve already configured your domain’s email (e.g. [email protected]) in the Gmail app on your Android device using IMAP, deleting emails is quick and easy. This guide will walk you through removing messages from your inbox and how to undo them if deleted accidentally.
Prerequisites

Make sure your domain’s email is already added to the Gmail app. If not, follow our guide on how to add it.

Steps to Delete Emails from Your Domain’s Account in Gmail (Android)

1. Open the Gmail app

Tap the Gmail icon from your home screen or app drawer.

2. Select the Email You Want to Delete
  • Tap and hold the email for about 2 seconds

  • A checkmark will appear, indicating it’s selected

  • You can select multiple emails by tapping additional ones

3. Tap the Trash/Delete icon  at the top

This will immediately move the email(s) to the Trash folder.

4. (Optional) Tap Undo to Restore

Once deleted, you’ll see a Snackbar message at the bottom of the screen:

“Conversation moved to Trash – UNDO”
Tap Undo within a few seconds to recover the email.

 Notes:
  • Deleted emails go to the Trash folder where they remain for 30 days before being permanently deleted.

  • If you're using IMAP, deletion in Gmail will also reflect across all other devices.
