How to Include or Exclude a Domain from AutoSSL in cPanel

AutoSSL is a feature in cPanel that automatically installs free SSL certificates (via Sectigo or Let’s Encrypt) for your domains. However, in some cases, you may want to manually include or exclude specific domains from AutoSSL.

When to Use This Guide
  • If your domain is newly added, AutoSSL may take a few hours to run.

  • If no SSL installs after 24 hours, check the latest AutoSSL logs via cPanel > SSL/TLS Status.

  • Use this guide to include or exclude domains/subdomains from AutoSSL as needed.

Steps to Include or Exclude Domains from AutoSSL
  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Scroll to the Security section and click on SSL/TLS Status.

  3. You'll see a list of your domains and subdomains.

 To Include Domains in AutoSSL
  • Tick the checkbox next to the domain(s) you want to include.

  • Click the “Include x domain(s) during AutoSSL” button.

 To Exclude Domains from AutoSSL
  • Tick the checkbox next to the domain(s) you'd like to exclude.

  • Click the “Exclude x domain(s) during AutoSSL” button.

Important Note:
You can only exclude domains that you have manually included.
System-included domains cannot be excluded until added manually to the include list first.
