How to Manually Run AutoSSL on Your Domains via cPanel

When a new domain is added to your cPanel account, AutoSSL typically attempts to install a free SSL certificate automatically within a few hours. However, if no SSL is installed within 24 hours, you may need to manually run AutoSSL.

This guide will help you check the SSL status and trigger the AutoSSL process if needed

Step 1: Wait for AutoSSL (Up to 24 Hours)

After creating or pointing your domain to the server, allow a few hours for AutoSSL to run automatically.

If the certificate is still not installed after 24 hours:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. Scroll to the Security section and click on SSL/TLS Status.

  • Check for errors via the SSL/TLS Status table (see below).

  • If no errors are visible, the domain may not have been automatically included by AutoSSL.

Step 2: Manually Run AutoSSL
  1. Review the list of domains and click the “Run AutoSSL” button.

What Happens Next
  • If you see a success message, the SSL should be automatically installed within a few hours.

  • If an error message appears, review the message for clues. You may copy and send it to our support team for assistance.

Notes
  • AutoSSL requires that your domain is correctly pointed to the server and resolves publicly.

  • Some SSL issues may be caused by DNS misconfiguration, expired domains, or non-routable subdomains.

  • You can also use the Include/Exclude from AutoSSL options in the same section if needed.
