Last Update 2 months ago

If you’ve already added your domain’s email (e.g. [email protected]) to the Gmail app on your Android phone, you can make accessing your inbox even easier by adding a Gmail widget to your home screen.

This lets you view, read, and check emails directly from your home screen—no need to open the Gmail app every time!

Before You Begin

Make sure your domain’s email is already configured in the Gmail app via IMAP. If not, follow our setup guide here.

Steps to Add a Gmail Widget for Your Domain’s Email

1. Long-press a blank area of your home screen

Hold your finger on an empty space until options appear like:
Wallpaper, Widgets, Home settings

2. Tap on Widgets

3.
Scroll to find Gmail

Look for “Gmail” or “Gmail Label” in the widget list.

4. Tap and Hold the Gmail Widget

Drag it to your home screen. You may be prompted to select the email account and label/folder you want to display.

5. Select Your Domain’s Email

Choose your email account (e.g. [email protected]) and tap Inbox as the folder to display.

6. Tap Done

Your Gmail widget will now appear on your home screen.

That’s It!

You can now:

  • See new messages directly on your home screen

  • Tap on the widget to open and read emails instantly

  • Emails will auto-sync in the background

You can add multiple widgets for different labels (e.g., Inbox, Sent, Support) or different accounts.
