How to Set Up Your HMail Emails in the iOS Mail App

This guide will walk you through adding your HostAfrica email account to the default Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready:

- Your email account password
Step 1: On your iOS device, open Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down to Apps.

Step 3: From the apps list, tap Mail.

Step 4: Tap Mail Accounts.

Step 5: Tap Add Account

Step 6: Enter your email address when prompted.

Step 7: Tap Add Other Account
(Rather than selecting a preset provider like Google or Microsoft).

Step 8: From the list, choose Mail Account.

Step 9: Fill in the following details, then tap Next:

Step 10: Make sure the IMAP tab is selected at the top, then enter the following server details:

💡 Note: Some fields may display the label "Optional" — please fill these in regardless.
Tap Next to verify your settings

Step 11: Once verified, make sure the Mail toggle is switched on, then tap Save.

If your mail does not sync after setup, you may need to confirm the encryption settings manually.

Go to Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → your account → Advanced, and verify the following:
