- When someone visits your website or sends you an email, their Internet Service Provider (ISP) — like Telkom or Vodacom — looks up your domain name to find out where it's hosted.
- Every domain name is linked to at least two special internet addresses called name servers. These name servers tell the ISP exactly which server hosts your website and email.
- If you ever change your hosting provider, you’ll need to update your domain’s name server records so visitors and emails are directed to the new server.
