  • If you need to change the password of a specific FTP user account, you can do so easily from either cPanel or DirectAdmin, depending on your hosting setup.

For cPanel Users
  • Log in to your cPanel account.

  • Under the Files section, click on FTP Accounts.

  • Locate the FTP account you want to update in the list.

  • Click Change Password next to that account.

  • Enter a new password manually, or use the Password Generator for a strong, secure password.

  • Click Change Password to apply the update.

For DirectAdmin Users
  • Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.

  • Navigate to Account Manager > FTP Management.

  • Find the FTP user whose password you want to change, and click the pencil/edit icon.

  • Enter the new password in the password field, or use the random password generator if available.

  • Click Save or Update to apply the new password.

After the Update
  • You can now log in to your FTP account using the new password.

  • If you're using an FTP client (like FileZilla), make sure to update the saved credentials to avoid login errors.
