How to Set Up Your HMail in Outlook (New) on your PC

This guide will walk you through adding your HostAfrica email account to the new version of Microsoft Outlook for PC users.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready, as guided here 
How to create a HMailPlus email account from the client area

• Your full email address (e.g. you@yourdomain.com)
• Your email account password

Step 1: Open Outlook on your computer and click the globe icon in the top-left corner.
💡 If this is the first time you've opened Outlook after installing it, skip directly to Step 3.

Step 2: Click Add Email Account.

Step 3: Type in the email address you want to set up, then click Continue.

Step 4: Click Continue again on the following screen.

Step 5: Click Show Advanced Settings to expand the full server configuration fields.

Step 6: Fill in the server details as follows, replacing the username fields with your own email address:
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)

⚠️ Make sure the correct encryption type is selected in the dropdown for both IMAP and SMTP before saving.
Once all details are filled in, click Add Account.

Step 7: You're all set! Click Done, and your HMail email account will be active in Outlook (New).
