How to Create a File in the DirectAdmin Control Panel

- To proceed with creating a .htaccess file, log in to your DirectAdmin panel as guided here:
How to log in to cPanel or DirectAdmin from the client area - Locate the System Info & Files section and click on File Manager, or launch the search bar (CTRL+J) and search for File Manager and click on it.
- From the main menu Open the File Manager as shown in the image below:
- After that, click on the public_html icon.
- Select New File from your menu bar or menu options from within the File Manager while in the public_html folder.
- Enter the file name as .htaccess and click Create.
- To edit the .htaccess file, right-click on it and select Edit, or select it only and click on the Edit option from the menu options.
- Enter your preferred valid code and click Save.
- That's it!
