Note: You must have either WHM Reseller or Root access to suspend accounts.
Steps to Suspend a cPanel Account in WHM
1. Log in to WHM
  • Access your WHM interface via:

  • Enter your reseller or root credentials.
2. Navigate to the Suspension Tool
  • In the left sidebar or top search bar, type:

Click on the Manage Account Suspension option under Account Functions.
3. Select the Account to Suspend
  • You can search for the account using:

    • Select by Domain – if you know the domain name.

    • Select by User – if you know the cPanel username.

4. Enter Suspension Reason (Optional)
  • In the Reason (optional) field, you may add a note describing why the account is being suspended (e.g., "overdue invoice" or "resource abuse").

  • This reason can help with future audits or client communication.

5. Suspend the Account
  • Click the Suspend button to complete the action.

The account will be suspended immediately.

Once suspended:

  • The user will see a default suspension page when visiting their website.

  • The cPanel login will be disabled until the account is unsuspended.
